Min elskede narkoman udstillingen rykker ind på Albertslund bibliotek med støtte fra Ejnar Christian Christensenfonden, Albertslund Kommune, samt 3 seje bibliotekarer, der både faciliterer udstillingen, et samarbejde med kommunens skoler og et par gratis begivenheder, der kommer til at forløbe sig i forlængelse af udstillingen.
Udstillingen kan ses 26. august – 1. oktober.

“Med den sanselige, interaktive udstilling, “Min elskede narkoman”, viser kunstner Leah Robb stoffernes dragende, destruktive stemme. Prøv selv en tur i labyrinten – og kom ud med et nyt blik på stoffer og afhængighed.
For 9 år siden mødte Leah ham, hun i dag kalder “min elskede narkoman”. Blot et halvt år senere var han tilbage på stofferne. Udstillingen er inspireret af, men handler ikke udelukkende om den oplevelse. Leah giver i stedet et indblik i både den frustration og
magtesløshed, den pårørende føler, og kampen den afhængige står overfor. Hun bygger bro.
Mød kunstneren til artist talk og få en personlig rundvisning i udstillingen til ferniseringen tirsdag 26. august kl. 16.30
Udstillingen er udformet som en labyrint, hvor den besøgende føres igennem misbrugeren og den pårørendes stærke følelser og oplevelser. Man kan opleve værkerne og selv tegne eller skrive en respons, som hænges op og flettes ind i værket.

Debat/samtaleaftenen med gæstetalere 16. sep. kl. 17:30-20
I anledning af udstillingen afholdes også et debatarrangement om stofafhængighed og mental sundhed. Vi vil kigge på vejene ind og ud af afhængighed set fra misbrugerens, behandlerens, de pårørendes og samfundets perspektiv – både hvad angår illegale stoffer, og medicin på recept.

Exciting News about My beloved addict! (English)
The My Beloved Addict exhibition is moving to Albertslund Library with support from the Ejnar Christian Christensen Foundation, Albertslund Municipality, and 3 proactive librarians who will facilitate the exhibition, collaborate with the council's schools, and hold a couple of free events that will run in continuation of the exhibition.
The exhibition can be seen from 26th August to 1st October.

"With the sensory, interactive exhibition, "My Beloved Addict", artist Leah Robb shows the alluring, destructive voice of drugs. Try a walk through the labyrinth for yourself - and come out with a new perspective on drugs and addiction.
9 years ago, Leah met the man she now calls "my beloved addict". Just six months later, he was back on drugs. The exhibition is inspired by, but is not exclusively about, that experience. Instead, Leah provides an insight into both the frustration and powerlessness that the relative or friend feels, and the struggle the addict faces. She builds bridges.
Meet the artist for an artist talk and get a personal tour of the exhibition at the opening on Tuesday, August 26th at 4:30 PM
The exhibition is designed as a labyrinth, where the visitor is guided through the strong emotions that the addict and their relatives experience. You can interact with the works and draw or write a response yourself, which is hung up and woven into the exhibition as a whole.

Debate/conversation evening with guest speakers on September 16th at 5:30 PM-8 PM
A debate event on drug addiction and mental health will also be held in connection with the exhibition. We will look at the paths leading into and out of addiction from the perspective of the addict, the therapist, the relatives and society - both with regard to illegal drugs and prescription medication.
